24.01.2017 | Poland will set up in 2017 a new anti-doping agency.

The Council of Ministers on 22/12/2016 adopted the law providing setting up the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA).
The agency will replace the Polish Commission Against Doping in Sport, supervised and financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, and will cooperate with police, prosecutor's office, customs service, military gendarmerie and border service. For the doping use will be punished not only the athletes, but also banned drugs dealers and persons, that may tempt the athletes to take them.
The new organization will be financed from the state budget, but also will be eligible for subsidies from the European Union, World Health Organization and UNESCO.
